Combat medics, trauma doctors, and emergency responders all recommend this Israeli Battle Dressing (IBD) or Israeli Emergency Bandage for the treatment of gunshot wounds, puncture wounds, deep cuts, and other traumatic hemorrhagic injuries. In fact, this is the same bandage that is included in the U.S. Military’s IFAK, or individual first aid kit. I do alot of competitive shooting and I always carry this, along with quick-clot, in my range bag. After a match was finished an individual cut themselves pretty bad on a jagged piece of metal on the tear down (end up requiring 12 stitches) and I was able to use this to apply immediate pressure on the wound and stop the bleeding and get them to a hospital and I’ve had only basic training in applying this product. After the situation was over I bought four more and keep them at work, home, and both of our cars. Can’t recommend this product enough.

Certainly an excellent addition to a first aid kit for military, police, hunters, and others who have a real risk of having to respond to traumatic injury. They work and they save lives.

I would recommend that if you intend to have these in your first aid kit, get a spare or two. If you’re going to the trouble of carrying these, go to the effort of practicing with a spare and keeping the one for the kit sealed.
